After completing his postgraduate training in Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Kapoor pursued advanced fellowship training in Musculoskeletal Oncology at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi—one of India’s leading tertiary referral centres for bone and soft tissue tumors.
Training at a high-volume sarcoma centre provided exposure to a broad spectrum of complex musculoskeletal tumors and advanced reconstructive procedures, while reinforcing the importance of multidisciplinary cancer care and evidence-based treatment.
Dr. Kapoor subsequently served as Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Oncology at the National Cancer Institute (NCI), AIIMS New Delhi, where he played an active role in the diagnosis, surgical management, research, and teaching of musculoskeletal oncology.
During his tenure, he contributed to the establishment and expansion of specialized orthopaedic oncology services, helped develop standardized treatment protocols, and participated in multidisciplinary tumor board discussions involving orthopaedic oncology, medical oncology, radiation oncology, radiology, pathology, and rehabilitation specialists.
